IT'S ALMOST 2011!! Holy Crow! I am so excited to start a new year, on a new slate!  So far, this year is going to be amazing! I have the best friends ever! Taylor, Kaitlyn, Aubrey, Sarah, Jared, CJ, Dan, Miyuki, M'Kaaylie, Shelbie, Heather, and WHOEVER ELSE I missed! You guys are amazing and have made 2010 awesome for me.  And to "that special someone," I think you are amazing and you make me very happy :)  I always laugh when you are with me, and you turned my bad day into a good one yesterday.
So, here are some of my New Year's resolutions that I actually intend on following:
-Exercise more
-Get at least all A's and B's in my classes
-Be able to pay my rent on time
-Be more frugal
-Talk to my sisters and family more
 -Put everything into my relationship(s)

December 24, 2010

How do I begin??
First of all, it is Christmas Eve!! One of the best days of the year!! In all honesty, I have rarely had a decent Christmas, but this year seems to be going great!  This whole week has been pretty awesome, actually.  A very special person hung out with my roommates and I until 5 in the morning.  He is such a hoot and he keeps me laughing!! I can't wait to see him again :)  Not only do I like him, he is just an awesome friend also!  It is so hard to find guys like him anymore.  I got lucky!!
So, tomorrow is Christmas. I will be spending it with my "Ginger" family.  I know only a few of you know what that means, but just know, it will be my first real Christmas and I'm SO excited!!
A few days ago, I got down on my knees and asked Heavenly Father a question.  It is a little too personal to disclose here, but I will tell you how I got my answer.  I prayed for Heavenly Father to let me know the answer in time, and to let me know for 100%.  Suddenly, (NO JOKE) the sun peeked out from behind the clouds and this crazy, intense warmth washed over me, and I started bawling.  Is that not enough answer right there??! My testimony was strengthened tenfold for me that moment.  I love the gospel with all of my heart and I KNOW Heavenly Father answers prayers.
Did you guys hear about how the Provo Tabernacle burnt down!? So sad! Nothing survived the fire.  But one picture did.  I posted it above so you can see it.  I saw it and got all these chills down my spine.  For your info, the name of this picture is "The Second Coming."  Slightly eerie...
So, like I said earlier, this is my first real Christmas.  At least, one that isn't full of angry grandparents or selfish foster parents.  I should be excited right? I am, but I'm really anxious, too.  I'm not used to getting presents from people who actually care for me.  I am over at my "adopted" grandparent's house and I saw dozens upon dozens of presents under the tree, and quite a few of them were for me! I was almost shocked that I was even getting presents!! And besides that, my roommates gave me presents, too.  Kaitlyn got me a chocolate orange and a Revalon Straightener! And Kaylee got me a necklace and earring set!  I still haven't seen my best friend, Taylor, though.  I miss you chica!! COME BACK TO MEH!

December 17, 2010

So, today was a pretty brutal day.  I was at work for 6 hours, today. Some lady yelled at me, saying I was incompetent and didn't know how to do my job.  She made me cry at work!! And after that, I was told by a friend that I was acting like a Nazi at drum line.  I am the bass line section leader, so, I don't know, I was pretty sure being a section leader means you are the leader, right? You come up with the ideas, you help your section learn the parts and when SOMEONE DOESN'T LISTEN TO YOU, YOU KINDLY AND GENTLY LET THEM KNOW THAT THEY NEED TO LISTEN.  Right?  And I'm pretty sure I have been solid but nice to my line. I never raise my voice, nor do I treat them like crap.  So, tomorrow, I'm holding a meeting to see what I can do as a leader to make drum line better.  And to stop being a Nazi, I guess...
And I am writing a bucket list that I am going to post soon so, yea.

December 16, 2010

So, because of my lack of a computer (and having to bum one off of all my friends), it's been hard to update my blog, which I'm truly sorry to my avid followers.  All three of them....Haha.  Anyway, the past three days have been so good to me, for some odd reason.  Work hasn't been too stressful, I have been able to pay my rent, and my boy life has been looking up...:P
I have begun to notice that when I wake up in a bad mood, I have a bad day.  So, I decided that every morning, I am commiting myself to waking up, and telling myself that it is going to be a good day.  Because, so far, it has been working.
So, another thing that I have noticed:  When I find a guy who is actually worth my time and I want to date him, all these random guys become interested in me.  When I want a guy to like me or I want to go on a date with all these guys, they are never interested.  A wise woman (also known as Kaitlyn Dahl) once told me, "A girl spent all day trying to catch all these ladybugs but she couldn't catch any.  So, she lay down and fell asleep and when she woke up, she was covered in ladybugs.  It's the same with life."  I find that so true!  I honestly feel all these crazy things for this boy and it confuses me because I have never felt this way before!!  So, if I leave you with any advice today, it's to stop looking for that person because when you "let the chips fall where they may" because good things happen when you stop looking.

Happy Birthday, Madeline!! I love you!!
It's so wierd when a younger sibling turns a year older.  My little sister, Cynthia, turned 17 a few days ago, and Madeline is 15 today!! It makes me feel so old...
Like I promised, here are the videos we made yesterday!!  We were really bored and it was really late.  So, forgive the cheezy-ness. Haha.

December 12, 2010

So.  Today, whilst I was cleaning my apartment, I had a lot to think about.  I thought about a lot of things.  One of which was about my future.  As cliche as that sounds, I'm at the age now where I am looking for that person that I want to spend time and all eternity with.  And for some FREAKISHLY odd reason, that has been weighing heavily on my mind.  I even dug out my old list of the things I want in my future husband!! Would you like me to post that list for you?!?! Ha.  Not happening.
Some other things weighing heavily on my mind:
Everything happens for a reason, right?? Well, some stuff that has been happening isn't very pleasant.  Like, barely being able to pay rent because you build bears for a living, having roommate drama, having boy troubles, (or troubles about a boy...) etc.  Well, I always wonder how this all plays into our future.  And I could use the stupid cliche about "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger...blah blah blah" but honestly, it's true.  I think everyone goes through different struggles, and we all deal with certain trials differently.  People always tell me I had a rough childhood compared to most, which I agree.  But there are some things that my friends have gone through that I could never deal with.  Like witnessing my parents get divorced.  Or having a sibling/close friend die.  I always see how blessed I am despite my past, and I feel grateful.
Anyhoo, I hung out today with some of my awesome friends, Shelbie, M'Kaaylie, and Heather.  We made some funny videos and I will post them on here when I am done editing them.  Let me know what you think!! OH AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LITTLE SISTER, MADELINE EVA ABRAM!

December 11, 2010

Urgh.  Today was a crappy day.  I worked from 3-7.  Some snotty kid came into work and decided to turn on the stuffer maching and spray a million feet of cotton all over the Build A Bear floor.  I had to clean it up while he and his mother stood there laughing at me.  How Rude! Anyway, I came home and my awesome roommtes, Kay and Aubrey and I went to a masquerade ball and had SO MUCH FUN!! I love all my roommates.  I was very blessed to have roommates I agree with and have become good friends with.  Kaitlyn, Tay, Kay, Sarah, and Aubrey, I LOVE YOU ALL! And thank you for making me feel better!!

I did it!!

Holy cow.  I cannot even begin to explain how crazy life has been in the past few months.  I am in Utah, living on my own, making my own income and going to school! This is crazy!! I never thought I would be here.  I admit, my past dragged me down a ton in the past, but being here in Orem has really changed my outlook on life.  I have met my best friends and have solidified friendships that I hope to keep forever.  No matter how hard life has been for me, I love it and wouldn't have it any other way!!
